These cases are inspired by the iconic work of Czech Art Nouveau artist Alphonse Mucha (1860–1939). His instantly recognizable designs have become world-renowned, particularly in the world of advertising and poster illustrations. These elegant cases feature Mucha’s frequent theme of idealized female figures, adorned with floral motifs and other naturalistic elements. This case is inspired by a work from Mucha’s 1899 lithographic series The Times of the Day. It is an example of the decorative panel genre for which he became famous. In this work, Brightness of Day, we see a woman lit by the bright noon sun, seemingly arranging flowers in her flowing hair.
