This reproduction is based on the finest early map of Jerusalem created in 1584 by Christian Van Andrichom (1533–1585). The map was published in Cologne (Germany) by Georg Braun and Franz Hogenberg in great city atlas entitled Civitates Orbis Terrarum. The work published in six volumes between 1572–1617, contains 546 bird-eye and map views of cities from all over the world.
