This pillow cover is inspired by Klimt’s sensual 1913 painting The Virgin, an oil depiction of a girl sleeping under a patterned blanket, surrounded by several nude women adorned in colorful gowns. The painting invites rumination on themes of youth, beauty, and ephemerality. Each woman may also represent a separate stage in life.
