The classic Czech children’s book series, A Doggie and a Pussycat, are written and illustrated by Czech author Josef Čapek. The cartoon stories chronicle the human domestic activities attempted by a dog and cat. Originally published in 1929 in Czech (and written for his young daughter, Alice), the books have since been translated into English and provide heartfelt and humorous stories for adults and children alike.
In this story, Čapek’s Doggie and Pussycat have an adventure fixing a tear in Doggie’s trousers and searching for a lost toy.
