A beautiful hand woven Flemish wall tapestry depicting Pieter Bruegel the Elder’s famous painting The Harvesters (1565).

The Harvesters is one of six works that form the artist’s painting cycle entitled Months. The title is apt, as each canvas is meant to represent the activities of the countryside-dwelling peasantry during two months of the year; The Harvesters represents August and September. Bruegel painted the entire cycle in the year 1565, and all but one canvas have survived to present-day. Haymaking, which represents June and July and which is the best preserved of the remaining five paintings, belongs to The Lobkowicz Collections and may be seen year-round at Lobkowicz Palace Museum.

Special note: The reverse side of this product has a pocket that allows the tapestry to be hung by a rod (not included).

Dimensions: 25.6 x 43.3 in (65 x 110 cm).
