A refined single-source dark chocolate boasting a smooth and balanced flavor. Handcrafted in the Czech Republic using Madagascan cocoa (min. 71%).
This set of chocolate bars is decorated by reproduction of Antonio Canaletto’s masterpiece London: The Thames on Lord Mayor’s Day (c. 1750). This is one of the Italian artist’s greatest London views and among the most recognizable images from The Lobkowicz Collections. In 2012, this magnificent painting played a central role in Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. It served as inspiration for The Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant, which saw the picture’s iconic river scene recreated in an unforgettable 1,000-boat flotilla that traveled down the Thames on 3 June. From 27 April–9 September, the painting also formed the centerpiece of the exhibition Royal River: Power, Pageantry and The Thames at London’s National Maritime Museum, which organized the temporary show in honor of the 60th year of the British monarch’s reign and the 75th anniversary of the museum’s foundation. The picture’s loan to the exhibition marked its first return to England since Canaletto (1697-1768) painted it there more than 260 years earlier.
